Plums & Roses Tea Sangria

Learn how to make our Plums & Roses Tea Sangria, featuring one of our favorite black teas, handfuls of fresh fruit, red wine, and a beautiful handmade mug!

  

How to make a pitcher of Plums & Roses Tea Sangria:

Servings: 4 and lots of fruit, 56 oz pitcher
Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 8 ounces brewed Sunrize Tea Plums & Roses concentrate (use 8 teaspoons of this loose leaf tea to brew your 8 ounces)
  • 2/3 bottle (750 ml) of chilled red wine (we used Pinot Noir) 
  • 2 ounces simple syrup or to taste (two parts sugar to one part water)
  • 2 oranges (sliced)
  • 2 plums (sliced)
  • 1 large apple (sliced)
  • 5 strawberries (sliced)
  • 20 blueberries

Preparation (brewing Plums & Roses)

  1. Place 8 teaspoons of Plums & Roses into a cup
  2. Pour 8 ounces of boiled water over tea
  3. Steep for 5 minutes
  4. Place a strainer in a second glass
  5. Strain brewed tea mixture to remove loose-leaf tea
  6. Let cool and cover vessel
  7. Place in your refrigerator and chill overnight

Directions:

  1. Wash and slice fruit
  2. Place sliced oranges, plums, apples, strawberries, and blueberries in pitcher
  3. Pour in Plums & Roses tea concentrate
  4. Add simple syrup
  5. Pour in red wine
  6. Refrigerate pitcher and allow sangria and fruit to infuse for at least 4 hours
  7. Serve in a beautiful handmade mug by Sarah Beth Pottery
